Shine Blue Show – a great success!

Congratulations to fearless leader (and ECMA nominee) Leona Burkey and these fabulous musicians (Roger Stone, Gabriel Minnikin, Jon Cornwall, David Bradstreet, Tyler Cox) for a great night at The Carleton in support of Autism Nova Scotia as they build understanding, acceptance, and inclusion for individuals on the Autism Spectrum and their families.

The Return of the Showdown!

Just Announced! The Carleton‘s very popular Craft Draught Showdown series is on sale today. The line up features eight matchups, including the re-scheduled from 2021 sold-out Big Spruce Brewing vs. Upstreet Craft Brewing Showdown on March 30 and an exciting ‘Celebrating 25 Years Edition’ with local mainstay breweries, Garrison Brewing Co. and Propeller Brewing Company on August 27.

Phase 4 redux

Monday’s announcement by the Province of Nova Scotia to reinstate most of the Phase 4 restrictions for restaurants, bars, and arts and culture events was not entirely unexpected, is understandable and supported, and yet…  has thrown The Carleton for a bit of a loop in term of shows remaining in 2021.

Here’s the scoop:

Operating under Phase 5 rules (proof of vaccine and photo ID required to enter the premises, masks worn when not seated or when not eating/drinking, ticketholders assigned to their own tables but no social distancing between tables)

  • 8 pm Tuesday, Dec 14 – Cocktails and Candy Canes – 2 tickets available
  • 7 pm Wednesday, Dec 15 – Craft Draught Showdown Big Spruce vs Upstreet – SOLD OUT
  • 7 pm Thursday, Dec 16 – Rudy Pace’s Campfire Songwriters’ Circle f. Paul Vidito, Kristen Martell, Braden Lam, Jarod Gallant – tickets available

Operating under modified Phase 4 rules ((proof of vaccine and photo ID required to enter the premises, masks worn when not seated or when not eating/drinking, service only when seated, no bar seating, no dance floor, ticketholders assigned to their own tables with social distancing between tables).  Although technically full capacity is still permitted, the social distancing requirement means we cannot host everyone who currently holds tickets to SOLD OUT shows.  Please give thanks to these generous and committed artists who are adapting with us AND please be patient while we contact every ticketholder to determine attendance OR refund OR additional reduced capacity show(s).

If you have questions before we have a chance to connect directly, please email reservations@thecarleton.ca.

SATURDAY NIGHTS ARE ALL RIGHT!

If you’re looking for some great rock’n’roll fun on a Saturday night, you can’t go wrong with The Carleton’s house band, Tevon Tynes & The Superstatics. Made up of some of the best musicians in the city, they play an array of killer covers and originals and, yes, you can dance to them!

We suggest you buy advanced tickets online because they routinely sell out, but the good news is that those are only $8 + HST. Bring a gang, you can thank us later!
