Exactly what it sounds like. The Halifax International Busker Festival’s annual wrap party for its legion of performers – featuring many of them trying their hand (and presumably voices) at karaoke – will happen at The Carleton on Monday, August 1st! As luck would have it, Toronto folk trio The O’Pears happen to be at The Lunenburg Folk Harbour festival this year and wanted to get in a Halifax show so – along with amazing locals, Fiona MacGillivray (The Cottars) and Ryan Willigar – they’ll be doing a special matinée performance at The Carleton on Monday, (more…)
In what’s becoming a semi-annual tradition during the Halifax International Busker Festival, Australians OKA! bring their infectious brand of reggae, beats and world music to The Carleton for a full show (not the abbreviated busking variety) on Sunday, July 31st.
