A quick chat amongst coworkers about the love for pride week turned into a discussion of wanting and needing more ongoing community inclusion and celebration of our LGBTQ friends in Halifax. Our lovely server Rachel, piped up with the idea of a drag brunch at The Carleton, we all instantly LOVED it and Wigs & Waffles was born, probably in a total of 3 minutes. 😉

Once Jerry, another one of our lovely servers, introduced us to the charismatic group, Haus of Rivers, it was a no-brainer, we had found the perfect talent to really bring this all alive.

Haus of Rivers was formed in 2015 and it didn’t take long for them to blow up. Originally from Fredericton NB, they now call Halifax home. These lip-syncing ladies have had a chance to perform in every corner of the Maritimes and Quebec. From Whitney to Britney, pop to country, these queens can turn the party wherever they go!

Brooke Rivers is the dancing diva of the group. She is ready to shake, twirl and death drop for you.
Trinity Foxx is the lip synch assassin. She will have you singing along and asking for more.
Racheal Slurr is serving beauty and face. This bombshell will entertain you, no matter what she’s doing.
This trio is here to give you a full production and will make you want to party.

Sunday, March 1st will be our first Wigs & Waffles Brunch and there’s nothing bottomless about this kind of Brunch. 😉
