We’re heading into the weekend leading up to the East Coast Music Awards and The Blue Lane is going to entertain us all with a FREE show on Saturday, April 28th. Live music will start around 9 PM. The band is great so drop in for a meal and/or drinks, we know you’ll love it.
The Blue Lane is a Halifax-based “Jazz Rock” trio that creates a fusion of rockabilly, jazz, blues, indie rock and pop music. The band has a unique sound, weaving sultry vocals, intricate harmonies, jazzy guitar shreds and passionately thick beats. In 2017 The Blue Lane released their 2nd EP Blind and the five song EP was awarded Music Nova Scotia’s “Jazz Recording of the Year.” Blind includes the rhythmic jazzy adventures of In the Groove and Annie, a classic number with a retro vibe. The title track Blind is featured in the upcoming film Every 21 Seconds (Directed by Kuba Luczkiewicz), along with their 2015 debut single, I’ll See You When.
The Blue Lane dropped their debut EP The Blue Lane in early 2016. The EP features songs such as Creepy Danger, the hot jazz jam, I’ll See You When and the sultry ballad Walking Into Yesterday. ”It’s a great great tune, really immerses yourself in the music.” – Canadian Music Radio, Michael Raine. Since 2015, ECMA award winning artist Rachael Henderson (lead vocals/bass), Morgan Alexander Cruickshank (guitar/vocals), and “The Machine” A.K.A Connor Booth (drums/vocals) have been writing and performing genre-blending original music.
Take a ride with The Blue Lane, you’ll like it!
