Thanks to some unforeseen circumstances, Tevon and his Superstatics are not able to play this Saturday – March 12th – so locals Elora’s Garden and Lloyd’s Money have stepped into the breach to entertain you on the night. The show will still start at 8 PM and admission is $10 at the door.
Elora’s Garden creates music in a category all its own, with a mix of alt rock, indie, folk, punk rock, and a hint of funk. Audiences are taken away by the originality, dynamics, and variety of music the band puts out.
Singer/Guitar player Alec Robertson has been writing songs since the age of twelve. In 2019, he met drummer Alec Bloch, who brought energetic and technical percussion skills to Robertson’s original songs. The two played open mics and developed a following playing original music in Wolfville, eventually starting to play sold-out shows in bars across Nova Scotia. Soon after, bass player Jordan Dunham joined the band, adding a powerful and funky low end to the group. During the pandemic, lead guitar player Ayden Clarke became the musical cherry on top of the existing group, with interesting licks and mouth-watering solos.
Lloyd’s Money is a four-piece alternative rock band that has played in various venues around Halifax. A diverse range of original music, covering a number of genres, created by the band means that there is music anyone can enjoy at a Lloyd’s Money show. Audiences can expect an energetic live performance filled with mostly original music and covers spanning classic rock to modern hits. The band is eager to continue playing live shows around the city and hope to release its debut album later this year.
