It’s been two years since we’ve been able to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with other like-minded friends, so we’re thrilled to announce that Shannon Quinn – along with father Tony Quinn and Jeremy Finney – will grace our stage on Thursday, March 17th. Our doors open at 5 PM and live music gets underway at 7:30 PM. This show is FREE!
Please note: We are accepting dinner reservations for arrival between 5 pm and 6 pm only. Please email reservations@thecarleton.ca.
Otherwise, admission is first come first serve.
Shannon Quinn was born and raised in beautiful Halifax, Nova Scotia and has been performing as a fiddler/vocalist since she was 10 years old.
Shannon has released three solo albums, ‘The Irwin Lake Sessions’, ‘If All the Young Ladies’ (recorded in Glasgow, produced by Paul McKenna) and ‘Watchmaker’ (produced by Shannon). ‘Watchmaker’ is a concept album based off the painting ‘The Watchmaker of Switzerland’ by Normal Rockwell and features traditional and original music. In 2016 Shannon won ‘Roots Traditional Album of the Year; and ‘New Artist recording of the year’ at the Music Nova Scotia Awards for her album ‘If All the Young Ladies’, which was also up for two ECMAs, as well as two Canadian Folk Music Awards. Her latest album ‘Watchmaker’ was also nominated for a Music Nova Scotia award, as well as a Canadian Folk Music Award.
