Le Conseil Communautaire du Grand Havre en partenariat avec Radarts vous présente la tournée Assomption Vie Radio-Canada et accueillera en double plateau les artistes Claude Cormier et Sirène et Matelot le vendredi, 18 mars dès 19h30 au The Carleton à Halifax. 35 $ plus TVH.
Le spectacle commence à 19h30 et chaque artiste jouera un set de 45 minutes avec une intermission de 20 minutes entre les deux.
Les participants seront automatiquement assis à une table correspondant au nombre de billets achetés ensemble. Par exemple, une personne passant une commande pour 3 billets obtiendra une table de 3 personnes.
Si 2 groupes de billets achetés séparément souhaitent être assis à la même table, merci de contacter le Carleton : reservations@thecarleton.ca
Par exemple, si un groupe A achète 2 billets et un groupe B achète 2 billets et A et B souhaitent être ensemble à une table de 4, merci d’envoyer un courriel au Carleton à reservations@thecarleton.ca avec le nom des 2 personnes ayant fait l’achat et les 2 numéros de confirmation pour être à une même table.
NB : Les invités qui souhaitent profiter de leur table avant le spectacle se doivent de contacter le Carleton en amont pour que la table leur soit accessible plus tôt.

The show will start at 7:30pm, each set lasting 45 minute and with a 20-minute intermission.
Guests are automatically seated at tables that match their ticket purchase. For example, if you buy 3 tickets, your group will be seated together at a table for 3.
If 2 groups wish to be seated at the same table, please email the Carleton at reservations@thecarleton.ca
For instance, if a group A buys 2 tickets and group B buys 2 tickets and groups A and B want to be seated together at a table for 4, please email the Carleton at reservations@thecarleton.ca with both names and confirmation numbers for A and B to be seated at the same table.
NB: Guests who would like to have access to their table before the show should contact the Carleton to have their table reserved beforehand.
Claude Cormier a grandi au bord de la mer, dans le coin d’Acadie appelé Îles-de-la-Madeleine. Natif du Havre-aux-Maisons, il pratique le métier, il est fasciné par la musique traditionnelle acadienne qui donne vie au quotidien dans le détour d’un refrain. Son spectacle est un rendez-vous festif à saveur de folk irlandais, de poésie colorée et du langage unique des Madelinots. Le son endiablé de sa musique crée cette ambiance chaleureuse et dynamique propre aux Acadiens des Îles-de-la-Madeleine.
Lennie Gallant et Patricia Richard, deux artistes acadiens de l’Île-du-Prince-Édouard, forment le nouveau duo Sirène et Matelot. Ils ont lancé leur premier album de compositions originales en été 2019 chez Le Grenier musique, de Moncton.
Lennie Gallant et Patricia Richard partagent une passion pour la musique, et ensemble, ils ont voulu explorer la composition de chansons qui reflètent non seulement leurs racines et leurs vécus, mais aussi leurs soucis du contexte mondial actuel. Complices sur scène depuis plusieurs années au sein de divers projets, ce nouveau duo leur permet de créer des chansons qui les représentent bien tous les deux.

Claude Cormier grew up by the sea, in the corner of Acadia known as Îles-de-la-Madeleine (Magdalen Islands). A native of Havre-aux-Maisons, he’s been working as an author, composer, and singer for many years. He is fascinated by traditional Acadian music that transforms everyday life into beautiful melodies. His show mixes the taste of Irish folk and coloured poetry, with the unique slang of his homeland. The frenzied sound of his music creates a warm and dynamic atmosphere that is specific to the Acadians of the Magdalens.
Lennie Gallant and Patricia Richard share a passion for music and together they are Sirène et Matelot. They have each been successful in their respective artistic careers. Recently they discovered that together they create a unique and fresh sound that carries the kind of weight and wisdom that only comes with experience. As a duo, they want to explore songwriting that reflects not only their roots and influences but also their concerns about the current state of the world. This new project is proving to be an exciting musically creative adventure. They chose the name of the duo from the first song they wrote together, “Sirène et Matelot” (mermaid and sailor). The song came together very quickly and, in many ways, it captured the spirit they want their music to convey.
