Leona Burkey brings her annual Shine Blue Show to The Carleton on Sunday, June 16th in support of Autism Nova Scotia. Celebrating understanding, acceptance and inclusion, we’ll shine for number nine with a classic big heart benefit show featuring Shine Blue originals Jon Cornwall, Mahogany Hollow (David Bradshaw & Tyler Cox), sparkling new blue-comer Freya Milliken + special guests. Show time is 7 PM and tickets are $20 + HST. All proceeds to Autism Nova Scotia.
As we all gather ‘round a song about a boy, this year’s Shine Blue Show will include a live taping for filmmaker Brandon Boyd’s short-doc project “Wave Theory” (coming fall 2024) a film based on Leona Burkey’s original song/album, exploring her life as a musician, mother and advocate.
Direct donations (eligible for a tax receipt) may be made HERE. Because of you, Autism Nova Scotia can support Autistic people and families through leadership, advocacy, education, training, and programming across the life span. Thank you for helping build a world where autism is fully understood and accepted.
