2017 marks the fourth year since the untimely passing of our musician friend Jay Smith. To honour his memory – and spirit – we’re arranging a celebration of his life and music to benefit the Unison Benevolent Fund at The Carleton on Tuesday, March 28th. Show time will be 8 PM and tickets are $25.

This year’s event will feature a Halifax All Star Band performing Jay’s entire album with able help from guest vocalists Mo Kenney, Dave Sampson, Evan Meisner (Gloryhound), Ian MacDougall (Tom Fun), Mike Ryan (Town Heroes), Andy Patil, Craig Mercer (Jimmy Swift Band) and Mike Morrison – there will be a Rock Ranger reunion – and we’ll announce a band to wrap up the night soon!

This show will be a Rock’n’Roll affair and there will be standing room, so not the usual “shut up and listen” thing. This night will be a party.
