Were you at The Carleton on August 20th for the screening of The Tragically Hip’s final tour stop in Kingston? If you were, you know it was the next best thing to being there. That got us to thinking… Since we’re not doing the Halifax Urban Folk Festival this year – and this is, after all, the week that would be happening – why not get the big screen out and play back HUFF shows like Neil Osborne from 54-40, or Chuck Prophet, or Norman Blake from Teenage Fanclub, or Garland Jeffreys, or David Pirner from Soul Asylum? Why not, indeed!

So, on Thursday, September 1st and Friday, September 2nd, that’s exactly what we’ll be doing. If you were at any of those shows,  here’s your chance to relive them. If you weren’t it’ll almost be like you were there. We’ll get underway about 9 PM each night and there’ll be no cover. Hope to see you there!
