Eclectic Dartmouth-based band quiet hill – along with Jade Bennett – celebrate the release of Not Always Quiet with a show at The Carleton on Friday, October 1st. Show time is 7:30  PM and tickets are $10 + HST.

q u i e t   h i l l is the confluence of musical styles and backgrounds of its members, from punk to funk (and a bunch of genres in between). Rock, soul, punk, folk, indie? 70’s, 80’s, 90’s, now? Why, yes.

Band line-up: Jacquie Thillaye (vocals), Dave Johnson (guitar), Henry Taylor (bass), Mike MacKinnon (drums), Mike Robinson (keyboards), and Fionnuala Reynolds (backing vocals and percussion).

Infectious melodies, power vocals and confessional songwriting make up the musical stylings of Halifax-based artist, Jade Bennett. A two-time Music Nova Scotia award nominee, she’s been writing and performing music for over 12 years. In her musings, you’ll find anything from haunting lullabies to vengeful acoustic pop. She recently released her single ‘Damned’ which was produced by Josh Kelly and is available on all streaming platforms.
