One of last year’s Nova Scotia Music Week showcasing standouts – Persephone – along with indie-rock pals Shaolin and norc – make their Carleton début on Friday, July 8th. This cool triple bill gets underway at 8 PM and tickets are a very reasonable $15 + HST.
***If you want to sit with others who have purchased their tickets separately, please email reservations@thecarleton.ca with the names***
Persephone is a four piece indie rock outfit from Halifax NS forever in a catwalk between lustful heartache and fiery disposition, leaving the listener both broken and captivated. The melancholic vocals of Kassandra Pitt paired with the meticulously crafted guitar pallet of Tom Zareski pays homage to the lonely nights we’ve all had. Nick Whorall brings momentum in his playful bass lines along with the sporadic energy of Ezra Garrison, whose drumming brings drive to each song. Persephone’s sound combines elements of pop and post punk to produce an organic variation of indie rock.
norc is an experience. Making dreamy music of questionable genre, they hope to tell stories and rattle your most suppressed emotions. They are here to bring people together through music and to prove we are all truly connected.
