The event you didn’t know you needed! Join us Wednesday, February 7th to celebrate local romance writing with the Writers’ Federation of Nova Scotia! Nova Swoons is a public reading event that shines a spotlight on Nova Scotian authors of romance fiction, from historical romance to the supernatural. The fun gets underway at 7:00 pm and tickets are only $20.00 plus HST.
Doors open at 5:00 pm for dinner and drinks with service continuing throughout the show.
Hosted by local drag artist Anna Mona-Pia and featuring an entertaining lineup of Halifamous readers, this evening of fun, flirty, and sexy readings will put you in an amorous mood just in time for Valentine’s Day! Featured readers include NDP MLA Lisa Lachance, meteorologist Cindy Day, Councillor Waye Mason, Saltwire journalist Katy Jean, Mayor Mike Savage, and CBC’s Portia Clark.
Featured authors include Donna Alward (The House on Blackberry Hill), Katerina Bakolias (Luscious Love), Renee Field (The Heart of the Family), Deanna Foster (Post Mortem Management), Cathryn Fox (Kilt Trip), Deborah Hale (The Bonny Bride), Michelle Helliwell (A Captivating Caper), and Nicole Northwood (The Devil You Know).
During the event, you can purchase local romance novels from the Dartmouth Book Exchange and will have a chance to win some fabulous door prizes.
