Great musicians with a great story!
Darren Mastropaolo and Nat Osborn met on the New York music scene a decade ago, regularly playing at well loved venues like Rockwood Music Hall and The Living Room. Darren fell in love with a girl from Halifax and moved up this way half a decade ago, while Nat stayed in New York and toured around the US and Europe. Nat happened to have a flight to finally come visit them on March 12, 2020 (remember that date?). He came for a long weekend and got stuck in Nova Scotia for three months! Darren, his now wife, and her whole family took Nat in on a small island near New Glasgow to escape the worst of the pandemic in New York.
Nat had some recording equipment with him as he and Darren were working on his EP at the time. The house they were in was filled with various instruments. So Nat got to work documenting that time by writing/recording/releasing a song a week in what would ultimately be released as an album called The Quarry Island Sessions. Nat also met his now fiancée during that time on the island! They split their time between New York and Halifax.
This is Nat and Darren’s first show in Halifax since their time quarantined together three years ago. Join us in celebrating both Darren’s Louder Than You Lions EP and the album Nat recorded while together.
