Continuing in our efforts to put the best entertainment this city has to offer on our stage while we still can, The Carleton is proud to present two of Nova Scotia’s finest songwriting examples – Matt Mays and Adam Baldwin – in two up-close and intimate shows on Sunday, October 23rd and Monday, October 24th. Show time each night is 8 PM and tickets are $30.
In case you’ve been living under a rock, Matt is a multiple East Coast Music and Music Nova Scotia award winner as well as a Juno award winner (Rock Album of the Year for his latest, Coyote). He’s never put out a dud record and the one he’s working on right now is as good, or better, than anything that’s come before. Matt doesn’t often do solo acoustic shows but when he does, it’s often been at The Carleton.
Until just recently, Adam was probably best known for his right-hand man role in Matt Mays’ band. That’s all changed with the release (finally) of his first full album, No Telling When (Precisely Nineteen Eighy-Five), a record that’s letting the rest of the country know what we already do – he’s a world-class songwriter. You might also know him as the fearless leader of The Carleton’s beloved Carletones, our Saturday night house band.
