Ex-pat Jon Bryant returns home from Vancouver for a special early show at The Carleton – the newly renovated Carleton, we might add – on Saturday, March 3rd. Show time is a civilized 7 PM and tickets are $15 advanced or $20 at the door. We should also mention that one dollar from each ticket sold will go to aid the Night Out For Music Heals charity; we’re one of over 90 venues across the country supporting this cause on this date.
Jon Bryant is an artist whose international popularity is growing, leaving a lasting impression on fans by virtue of his haunting ambient dream-folk singer/songwriter roots. From in Fall River, Nova Scotia, his first single Deaf was selected the iTunes single-of-the-week, and the attendant album was featured as well. Bryant followed up that initial online success with What Takes You in 2012, resulting in numerous TV sync placements while he toured throughout North America and Europe.
In 2016 Jon released the highly anticipated Twenty Something featuring the production of Alex Newport (Bloc Party, Death Cab for Cutie, Mars Volta and City and Colour), Nygel Asselin (Half Moon Run), Jordan Wiberg and Rick Parker (Lord Huron, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club). Not only does his unique Jeff Buckley-esque vocals and compelling songwriting command attention, his riveting live shows seal the deal.
Jon’s shows at our place always sell out so don’t sit on your hands, get your tickets now!
