Two of the participants in the 2022 HUFF Youth Songwriters Circle show – Eliza Rhinelander & Silas Bonnell – follow up that experience with their own show at The Carleton on Friday, December 30th. Show time is 7 PM and tickets are $17.50 + HST.
Eliza Rhinelander is a 17 year old singer-songwriter from Halifax, Nova Scotia. The two-time winner of Best Lyrics in Write the World’s songwriting competition, she is, above all else, a storyteller. Her music melds the traditional folk influence of her childhood with more modern confessional-style songs, and she views songwriting as an exercise in empathy, often writing from perspectives outside of her own.
Silas Bonnell is an 18 year old singer-songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist from Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. He recently released his 4th studio album, Yellow House Lane, and is hard at work on his 5th. His songs are like diary entries: personal and profound, grounded in emotion and detail, taking audiences through the ups and downs of growing up and the joys of living freely. Be sure to check him out on Spotify or Apple Music.
