The Halifax Urban Folk Festival‘s 10th anniversary is thrilled to present Rock’n’Roll legend Alejandro Escovedo and the Halifax All Stars, including an opening songwriters’ circle featuring Matthew Sweet, Damhnait Doyle and Wintersleep’s Paul Murphy at The Carleton on Saturday, August 31st. Live music starts at 8 PM and tickets are available HERE!
To mark our 10th anniversary, HUFF has chosen one legacy act to bring back for a repeat performance and that act is the incomparable Alejandro Escovedo! His career has spanned decades in bands like The Nuns, Rank & File and The True Believers and he has released 16 albums on his own, including his latest – The Crossing – in 2018. His HUFF All Star band will mostly be returning and this will be a barn-burner of epic proportions. Alejandro is also maybe the best dressed man in rock’n’roll.
The opening songwriters’ circle on the night will be comprised of Wintersleep’s Paul Murphy, Matthew Sweet and Damhnait Doyle.
