The Halifax Urban F0lk Festival returns for its 9th year at The Carleton and is pleased to present Hey Rosetta‘s Tim Baker with the Halifax All Stars on Saturday, September 1st. The opening songwriters’ circle will consist of Lilly Hiatt, Mick Davis (The Novaks) and Brad Roberts (Crash Test Dummies). Show time is 8 PM and tickets – available through TicketPro HERE – are $50 (HST included).
Best known as the driving force behind Hey Rosetta!, Tim Baker is a wonderfully imaginative songwriter, a thoughtful poet, a playful arranger, and a technically profound musician. Playing all over the world at festivals, stadiums, theatres, and clubs for more than 13 years, the band earned multiple JUNO nominations, a spot on the Polaris Music Prize shortlist, and a slew of East Coast Music Awards. Since Hey Rosetta!’s hiatus in 2017, Tim Baker has taken his writing back to its roots, performing solo as he prepares his next album. Tim will be accompanied by the HFX All Stars and the show will kick off with the Opening Songwriters’ Circle featuring Brad Roberts, Lilly Hiatt, and Mick Davis (of The Novaks).
