Monopolized Records rings in the spring by releasing the latest sessions from the Greville Tapes Music Club and will celebrate with a performance at The Carleton on Sunday, April 12th. The show will feature collaborations between Pallmer x Keeper E.; The Olympic Symphonium x Wolf Castle; Dumpster Cub x DenMother. Live music gets underway at 7 PM and tickets are $20 + HST.
The Greville Tapes Music Club brings together two musical acts, who gather to write and record new material in a house-turned-studio during the summer in Port Greville, Nova Scotia. Friendships are formed, memories are made, and amazing music is put to tape.
Now, as we prepare to release the recordings on Monopolized Records, The Greville Tapes Music Club is proud to present an eclectic, surprising, and memorable evening of live music featuring six of the most fascinating artists around. See live performances from:
Pallmer x Keeper E.: Pallmer’s gorgeous blend of cello, viola and electronics mixes beautifully with the synth-pop rush of Keeper E., resulting in songs filled with heartstopping beauty and unshakeable hooks.
The Olympic Symphonium x Wolf Castle: The silky keyboards and pedal steel of the Olympic Symphonium pair perfectly with Wolf Castle’s smooth, wistful flow, for a blend of indie pop and hip hop that will bring back bittersweet memories of warm summer nights.
Dumpster Cub x DenMother: The oceanic soundscapes of Dumpster Cub find an ideal partner in the fierce vocals of DenMother, in this stunning meeting between East Coast electronic innovators. Get ready to dive in.
