We are excited to announce that Newfoundland’s Fortunate Ones will play one night only at The Carleton on Sunday, June 16th at 8 PM. Advanced tickets are $30 or you can pay $35 at the door (as if). Carleton fave Kim Harris has just been added to the bill!
Fortunate Ones is Newfoundland’s JUNO-nominated duo Catherine Allan and Andrew James O’Brien. Known for dynamic live performances, effortless union of voices in harmony, and anthemic melodies – they embody a wide-eyed energy, deliver messages of reflection and optimism, have an earnest mission for connection, and are endearing audiences across Canada and beyond. Their songs celebrate coming of age, ambition, decisions we make to persevere, and the resilience of the human spirit. Their new album Hold Fast was produced by Daniel Ledwell.
Kim Harris is one of the region’s best songwriters and one of The Carleton’s favourite artists. Period. A native of Cornerbrook, Newfoundland, she’s back in Halifax anticipating the release of a new album, due in the fall. Kim hasn’t played in town in ages so this show will be a treat!
