Don Brownrigg celebrates the release of his much-anticipated, Daniel Ledwell-produced, Fireworks album with a special 9:00 pm Friday night show at The Carleton on June 7th. Lee-Anne Poole will be ably handling the support slot with her Country Song show. Tickets are $15 advanced or $20 at the door.
Don Brownrigg was raised on kitchen party Saturday nights and singer-songwriter Sunday mornings in a musical family in small town Newfoundland. With a polymath’s curiosity about the world’s workings, and a poet’s appreciation of its small details, Brownrigg’s songs dig deeply into what it is to be alive right now, finding a way through love, pain, and questions about the future. ‘Fireworks‘, produced by Daniel Ledwell, is the first music Brownrigg has released since his critically acclaimed ‘It Takes All Kinds (To Make This World, I Find)‘.
Lee-Anne Poole is a Halifax based writer and Arts Producer.
