Hot on the heels of this spring’s back-to-back-to-back solo sell-outs, Daniel James McFadyen returns to The Carleton – along with his band and special guest, Terra Spencer – to celebrate the release of his new album, August, I’m Yours, on Friday, October 8th. Show time is 8 PM and tickets are $20 + HST.
Singer-songwriter Daniel James McFadyen began his musical journey by playing at small, bustling pubs in and around the Annapolis Valley. After touring Nova Scotia extensively in 2019, Daniel’s music began to gain publicity and popularity. The release of his second EP “Goin Back” (featuring the popular single of the same name), landed Daniel in a position to make music his full time career. His upbeat and captivating storytelling mixed with his interactive performances has made him a crowd favourite across the province. Daniel’s upcoming debut album “August, I’m Yours” is set for release in October 2021.
Windsor, Nova Scotian funeral director-turned-songwriter Terra Spencer discovered her passion for crafting songs while touring with country artist Ryan Cook, after being recruited as a backup singer in 2014 while scooping ice cream at a music festival. Since making her solo debut in 2018, she has charmed audiences in the Maritimes, Ontario, the UK, and Europe with deft finger-style guitar, gospel piano, butterscotch voice, and easy onstage conversation, making you feel knee-to-knee with her even in a room of 500.
