We seriously thought it would never happen a second time but, to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of The Carleton, master songwriters Joel Plaskett & Steve Poltz will once again be on the same stage, at the same time, swapping songs and stories! This marvelous occurrence will take place on Tuesday, May 8th at 8 PM. Tickets are $40 – while they last!
If you live in Halifax, or Canada, and you don’t know who Joel Plaskett is, chances are you’d never be on this website anyway but, for the benefit of those who haven’t, Joel is one of the country’s most beloved and respected artists. Juno, ECMA and Music Nova Scotia awards winner, Polaris Prize short list nominee, producer and studio owner, Plaskett is simply as good as it gets.
Steve Poltz travels the world singing his songs, never repeating the same show twice. He’s originally from Halifax but has been based in the USA since he was a young child and currently resides (if you could actually say Steve lives anywhere except on the road) in Nashville. He’s played The Carleton more times than any other artist and there is a very good reason for that – he’s the most entertaining solo artist on the face of the earth.
So, to recap: two dear friends – each a superstar in his own right – on the same stage, at the same time, on the same night, sharing songs and stories. This is probably never going to happen again, so don’t blow it.
