Truro’s Brigid trio roll into The Carleton for their Someone Like Her album release show on Thursday, October 6th. Live music gets underway at 7:30 PM and tickets are $25 (with $5 of that being donated to the Halifax Sexual Health Centre) + HST.
They say that music is the language of the soul, and nothing could be truer for Brigid.
The trio of Emma Smit-Geraghty, Beth Terry and Sarah Glinz bring their music to the stage with rich three-part vocal harmonies, folk-rock roots, and mix of original music and timeless covers. Brigid draws inspiration from music icons such as Fleetwood Mac, Jann Arden, Joni Mitchell, Sara Bareilles, and Carole King just to name a few!
Brigid has earned their reputation as a talented group to look out for. From acoustic gigs to sold-out theatre productions and more, they continue to touch fans around the Maritimes with their distinct and enjoyable musical style. Originally formed as a “one-off” musical event to celebrate stories of women through song, this trio of musicians and mothers decided to stick together and continue making music!
Brigid is both at home performing covers of iconic music and original music inspired by their lives and experiences. All three are proud to be musicians, music educators, mothers, wives, daughters, and women, and this comes through in their stories and songs.
