Local up-and-comer Allen Snow and his band The Quorum, celebrate the release of a new single with a show at The Carleton on Thursday, May 5th. Live music gets underway with an opening set by Kam Hayes at 7:30 PM. Tickets are only $12 + HST.
A nomad of the East Coast, Allen Snow was born in PEI but spent time living in NL and NB before calling Nova Scotia home. Just like the transient life he lives, his soulful vocals cross genres from melodic blues & jazz, to humour in a honky tonk. Allen takes a bit of something from everywhere to make a little something for everyone.
Raised on The Beatles and Doc Watson, Kam Hayes blends bread-and-butter classics with modern influence from The Lumineers and Caamp for a soulful experience. Recently launching moustache-first into Halifax’s music scene on open mics and solo shows, Hayes’ playful finger-style and modern folk join forces to tickle your ears in ways you didn’t think possible on an acoustic six-string.
