The NSCC Music Business Program is proud to present Strongboy, with special guests Nomadic Homes and Dave Fultz at The Carleton on Wednesday, November 15th. Show time is 9 PM and admission is $8 at the door.
Four Cape Bretoners with a repertoire of self-recorded indie-pop songs about frustrating agoraphobic anxieties and the mundane. While their upcoming release features solitary melodies, and hazy instrumentals; their live sound hints at something bigger. Akin to their post-punk influences; they are a cascade of harmonious, angular guitars with a swelling and driving rhythm section.

A fuzzy psych pop band from Canada, just jammin’ out some warm tones, Bud.
“The seven-song Mesas EP throws together some polished, hazy pop as it nods to a psychedelic heyday that is still going strong out east. “Suddenly Feasible” plays up its mysterious meanings as it sways along to Rayner’s dreamy falsetto vocals before bopping into the delicious riff of “New Sounds,” a bounding interlude that sets The Nomadic Homes apart from so much psych pop.” Eleni Armenakis (Grayowl Point)
Dave Fultz is a multi-instrumentalist from Halifax, NS. He has played with Liars on Fire, The Boarding Party, Second Band, The Well Fed Wolves, and has stood in with Jont & The Infinite Possibility and Ostrea Lake. He currently plays banjo, fiddle and guitar with The Barrowdowns.
