Songwriters with showmanship Tommy Green Jr. and ECMA nominee Aaron MacDonald team up for a great night of summery songs at The Carleton on Thursday, August 3rd. Locals VHS will kick the night off at 9 PM and admission is a paltry $5 at the door.
From March to June of 2016, Tommy spent 4 exciting months performing his solo “Songs and Stories” show aboard the Royal Caribbean Allure Of The Seas, the largest cruise ship in the world. Besides a nightly show in the Bow and Stern Pub, he also performed in the Aqua Theatre to crowds of 400 people, and occasionally in the 1400-seat Main Theatre.
He then released a live off-the-floor music video of “Illuminousity“, track 1 from the LP. It was recorded in Halifax at the beloved Marquee Ballroom, complete with an 8-piece band of prominent Halifax talent. Currently the video has over 1300 views on Youtube.
On August 26th 2016, Tommy hosted a music video release party for “Sand In My Sheets” at The Seahorse Tavern. The video was written and directed by Tommy, and was filmed over the course of a year in exotic locales in Australia, Mexico, St Maartin and ultimately, his hometown of Halifax NS. The final scene zooms in on a sun-soaked music party rocking on a 46-foot catamaran, highlighting the beautiful Halifax Harbour. It too promotes local musicians as well as iconic symbols of Nova Scotia. The video currently has over 9500 views on Youtube.
Tommy is currently putting the finishing touches on a live record entitled “Live at Second Wind” due out in July 2018!
