The Carletones (at least some of them) will be out of town, so we’re giving one of our new fave bands – The Blue Lane – the chance to shine for a Saturday night crowd on March 18th. We’ll have live music for you starting at 10 PM and it’s a measly $5 at the door to get in to hear some great grooves. Come early, stay late; we promise you won’t be disappointed.
The Blue Lane is a genre-defying act that somehow merges the sounds of rockabilly, jazz, blues and traditional pop music. The band – Morgan Cruickshank (guitar/vocals), Rachael Henderson (vocals/bass) and Connor Booth (drums/vocals) – have only been around since 2015 but have quickly become a Carleton favourite because, well, they can play, sing and write and together are better than just the sum of their respective parts. According to us, that’s what a band is supposed to be about! Come see ’em, you’ll dig it.
