You could call it Soul Inspired Rock. Lis “Alaska” McMillan is a young musician in an old city and she is the vocalist and songwriter for the Halifax band The State of Alaska. In 2011, Alaska stepped onto Halifax stages as a solo artist, playing primarily house shows and basement concerts.
