The AfterWords Literary Festival and Oceans North present a FREE panel discussion with authors Karen Pinchin and Laura Trethewey about the state of our oceans, sustainability, and the climate crisis – moderated by the CBC’s Main Street host, Jeff Douglas – at The Carleton on Sunday, November 5th at 3 PM.
Two new books explore issues related to our oceans. Karen Pinchin’s King of Their Own Ocean looks at the future of our seas through the story of one of its most remarkable species: the bluefin tuna. Laura Trethewey’s TheDeepest Map chronicles the race to map the ocean floor. Both books reveal our intrinsic relieance on our oceans – and their current delicate state.
