After an eight year break, Craig Mercer (The Jimmy Swift Band, The Scientists of Sound) has finally completed The Will Be Gones EP project and, along with pals, Rudy & The Pacé Family Orchestra will celebrate that effort with a show at The Carleton on Friday, June 23rd. Live music will commence at 8 PM and tickets for this special event are $20 + HST.

Craig Mercer’s project The Will Be Gones represents a coming of age for the singer/ songwriter—through songs of heartache, rebirth, and a deep love of the east coast. With subtle hints of rock set to a backdrop of Americana with a bluesy southern edge, the upcoming EP tells the story of an artist at a turning point in both life and in music – and offers a stark contrast from his work to date as the frontman for jam/rock acts The Jimmy Swift Band and Scientists of Sound.

Abandoned for almost 8 years, The Will Be Gones project is finally re-surfacing with the release of a collection of songs recorded almost a decade ago. Join Craig Mercer and the Will Be Gones to mark the release of their debut EP with this special one-night only show at The Carleton—with special guests Rudy and the Pacé Family Orchestra.
