Every once in a long while, we run across a new-to-us artist that simply demands stage time at The Carleton and Joe H Henry is certainly one of those. After blowing away the audience during Mike Campbell’s birthday party a week ago, we booked him to entertain all who show up on Thursday, January 19th, and in the spirit of making this easy to say “yes” to, it’ll be FREE. Live music will get underway after 6:30 PM. Trust us, you’ll be happy you did.
With a voice as powerful as a wayward freight train, Joe H Henry bellows the flames of soulful americana roots with a whole lot of grit.
The son of an award winning country musician, Joe was born to sing; gifted with a one-of-a-kind voice and a love for story telling through song. His younger years were spent traveling from town to town with nothing but a faithful dog and a guitar, collecting life lessons and harnessing the flame of inspiration that was often masked in struggle.
He eventually settled down on a homestead in the wilds of North Mountain, Nova Scotia with his wife and 5 children. Since the birth of his last son in early 2022, he has returned to his roots as a singer-songwriter, sharing his passion and talent with the world.
