The NSCC Music Business program presents: The Project 2020 – a showcase of artists selected to participate in the 2020 Artist Development Project, featuring Cameron Hawes, Stand Back and Sleepy Kicks at The Carleton on Thursday March 12th. Show time is 9PM and admission is $8 at the door. Proceeds from the night will go towards fundraising efforts for the Music Business Program to attend this year’s ECMAs in St. John’s NL.
Cameron Hawes: Cameron’s humbling personality and easygoingness is reflected in his artistry – with his unique style of Folk and Indie Soul music displaying his wide vocal range and musicality. After a traumatic car accident in Vancouver left him concussed and manic, his writing was pushed to the next level through homelessness and sickness. Cameron’s live performance is exceptionally intimate, capturing his listeners in an endearing way.
Stand Back: A dynamic modern-day jam band, Stand Back has been cutting their teeth and gaining fans the old fashioned way – one kick-ass show at a time. Look out for Stand Back on their East Coast Canada Tour, summer 2020.
Sleepy Kicks: Sleepy Kicks are a four-piece Dartmouth-born band with a soul for music you can dance to. Their style ranges from fast-paced grooves to faster-paced rock songs, and a little bit of the things in between.
