Think of all the great tunes from over the years that are about Love (on some level… aren’t they all?)… Old Love, New Love, Romantic, Universal, Jaded and Blue Love…
“LOVE” is a collection of smooth Jazz Standards, Swing, Soft Rock, and Retro-Pop performed by some of Halifax’s top players and vocalists in The Blue Room Band. Featured in this 8 piece group of Halifax musicians are: Silvio Pupo (piano), Georges Hebert (Guitar), Jamie Gatti (Bass) John Alphonse (drums), featuring on vocals: Cheryl Edgett, Lynda Rosborough, and Margot Sampson, and once again, Paul St-Amand on Vocals and Trumpet.
The show “Love” presents a wide variety of Love songs that have been inspired by artists such as: Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, Cole Porter, Nat King Cole, Peggy Lee, Patsy Cline, Dean Martin, Elvis Presley, The Beatles, Petula Clark, Dionne Warwick, Carole King and more. The evening will immerse audience members in some of the greatest all-time popular Love songs – in the classy and relaxed environment of The Carleton.
Please join us once again at the beautiful Carleton in downtown Halifax (1685 Argyle Street) for The Blue Room’s “Love”. Your ticket guarantees entrance and a seat. Early arrivals usually get the best views of the stage.
