The Halifax Urban Folk Festival‘s 10th anniversary is proud to present The Burning Hell, Museum Pieces and Gianna Lauren as its opening night show at The Carleton on Sunday, August 25th. Live music starts at 8 PM and tickets are available HERE!
In the fall of 2018, HUFF programmer Mike Campbell wound up at the Trailside in Charlottetown PEI for a showcase by The Burning Hell. After their amazing set he found Matthias Kom and partner Ariel Sharratt to officially make them the first band booked for the festival’s 10th anniversary in 2019. The band makes hooky, wordy, joyous, oftentimes funny, indie-rock songs with stories to go with them that need to be heard to be believed. As the BBC’s Tom Robinson has said, “even Jesus is going to enjoy this, once he finally gets here.”
The equally literate Museum Pieces and Gianna Lauren round out what is going to be a fantastic kick-off show this year!
